The Dali Museum Library

About this collection

Books, Books, Books offers reviews of books about Dalí, the artists and movements that influenced him and the present-day cultural innovators who carry on the Catalan artist’s cutting-edge spirit.

Dalí illustrated a number of books and collected even more (he was especially fond of ones on science). His own literary output included the avant-garde Yellow Manifesto (named after the color of paper it was written on), an unreadable novel, three memoirs (one with a chapter about his time in the uterus), a classic surreal screenplay (with Luis Bunuel) and commentary on his own work  -- not to mention all those postcards he sent to Picasso.
